One has to work hard to attain a smart and fit body. There is no short cut for it. There are certain goal which you should set for attaining a healthy body and work on the same. But sincerity and dedication is very important in this case. To achieve a healthy and toned body it is very necessary to lose the excess fat that you have accumulated in your body, for this also there is a need of strict routine and sincere goals to follow. These goals are very essential as they act as your guide and you can check your performance on the basis of these goals. Smart - what it means?

The Smart is a goal which is in the form of an acronym. Smart can be interpreted as specific, Measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound. We shall now talk about each of these attributes so that we can successfully reach our targets.

S---Specific

When you are setting a goal, ensure that it is not vague but specific. The goal must be clear and easily identifiable. A vogue objective can never set you on the right course. It may often require a series of objectives leading to a goal to be followed and attained. It will be a practical and scientific approach to a specific issue which is your goal. An example will make this clear.

Incorrect approach --- I want to shed all those 15 pounds that I gained last year. It is quite possible that this may be taken not so seriously and this is quite vague in the way that you want to shed this extra weight.

Correct idea - if you aim to lose the weight slowly with procedure and specific guideline then it will be a right approach.

Thus the second approach would make you more responsible towards your target.

M---Measurable

For correct evaluation the progress should be measurable. You should fix the minimum amount of the fat that you want to lose at fixed interval of time. It will help to record the progress and will also act as a motivation for you to carry out the whole process.

A ---Attainable

The goal that you set needs to be achievable. If you set a goal which is not practical and thus you not being able to achieve would frustrate you. You should give yourself sufficient time to achieve your goal practically and in a healthy manner. You could discuss your goals with people who have achieved them already.

R ---Realistic

You may aim high but aim in such a way that you can achieve the goals that you set, and they are attainable. Your confidence would get a boost if the goal you set even though high can be achieved and thus would keep you on the correct path.

T--- Time

Deadline is also essential. Time is an important factor in attaining any goal. A goal like shedding 10 pounds in 4 months is better than losing the extra pounds in few months.

Your success in your efforts would depend on the way you set your goals for fitness and how serious and motivated you are to achieve them.

Using An Under Sink Water Filter May Remove Contaminants From Tap Water

It isn't easy to tell if the water in your house is safe to drink; however, if you have a purification system such as an under sink water filter, you may feel a little better. You can rely at least a little on your senses to alert you to things that might be making their way into the water system of your home, such as sulfur or too much chlorine; however, in most cases, contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, lead, and other chemicals can't be smelled or tasted. In the case of your water smelling like rotten eggs, tasting like salt, or spots on your glasses, you might want to test your water, or have it tested, to assure quality. Certain additives, such as shilajit powder, can also help assure the water in your home is clean and safe.

Municipal systems within the United States mostly have safe drinking water because they must comply with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. If water is supplied from a private well or you live in remote rural area, you would not be privy to these regulations. Unless you have reason to believe otherwise, municipal water in your home meets federal safety standards; however, unless you are using an under sink water filter or other filtration method, the only way to assure your water is safe to drink is to have your individual water supply tested. How should I test my tap water? Can I test my well water? Would it just be better to use filters or drinking only bottled water?

These tests do not test for everything, but they can detect lead, arsenic, pesticides, and bacteria. Whichever method of testing you decide upon, be sure to use the first-draw water, water that comes out of the faucet first thing in the morning, as this will be your most accurate measure of possible contaminants.

Federal drinking water standards do not apply to private wells, so if you are in a location that utilizes one, it's up to you to have your water tested. Your local health department can advise you of possible well-water contamination in your area, but you should also test your own water regularly or consider using an under sink water filter. Well water should be tested at least once a year for nitrates, coliform bacteria, total dissolved solids, and pH. You may also need to consider checks for lead, copper, arsenic, radon, pesticides, or other substances.

It is more expensive than tap water and in many cases may not be any safer. About one fourth of bottled water is simply tap water that has been processed and repackaged, in fact. Bottled water quality varies based on the manufacturer and their standards, so some bottled water may be even worse for you than tap water. Alternatively, filtered water removes lead and other contaminants from the water, but most filters do not necessarily remove all contaminants, especially smaller microorganisms.
