Improving Your Workouts With Nitric Oxide Supplements.

By Roxy Albright

When you feel fatigued at the gym do you consider the use of nitric oxide supplements? Before we get into that, let's see if this sounds familiar: You have been working out steadily for about six weeks and your workouts seem to have hit a plateau. You are still giving your workouts an exhausting amount of energy, but your body doesn't seem to be responding the same to the intense exercise as it was even weeks ago. You are frustrated and need to find something that will help you break out of the plateau and move back into the results you were seeing early on. Changing up your workout may really help your body to get out of the learned response your body is producing. Another very helpful, but not often considered option, is a supplement containing nitric oxide, also known as l-arginine supplements.

How exactly could nitric oxide supplements increase the productivity of your workout? Well, let's take a little close look. First, what is nitric oxide (also known as NO)? Second, what does NO actually do? Finally, let's discuss the benefits that increased nitric oxide provides to your workout.

Relatively newly discovered in the scientific field, nitric oxide has only been studied in great detail for about the last twenty years. In 1977 it was first discovered and extensive study of NO did not occur until about the 1990's. NO is a gas. It is naturally produced by the body. Its molecular structure consists of one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom. The thalamus regulates NO's production and distribution to the body. To give further proof of its importance in the scientific community, currently, there are over 200 government-funded trials underway involving NO and what uses nitric oxide supplements might have for the increase of NO in the body.

What exactly is NO? Nitric oxide is a gas that up until about 40 years of age is produced by the body naturally. NO regulates and maintains many of the body's organs, including the heart, lungs, and circulatory system. It is often after the age of 40 when we start to see major declines in the health of major body systems. This directly mirrors the decline of nitric oxide production. NO production may very well be a major factor contributing to aging. In fact, recent studies indicate nitric oxide supplements may help with memory loss, erectile dysfunction, asthma, and a host of other conditions (and this is in addition to the well researched benefits that l-arginine supplements have already shown on cardiovascular, circulatory, and cancer.)

How does nitric oxide work and, more importantly, what exactly does that mean for your workouts? Nitric oxide is a vasodialator, meaning that it causes blood vessels to expand rather than constrict. This means that blood flows more quickly and in greater volumes to all areas of the body when nitric oxide is present. This is fantastic for your workouts because it means that your body will receive proper levels of oxygen and greater blood volume and circulation. Proper levels of NO within the body, especially when working out, produce a quicker recovery time, reduced fatigue during high rep exercises, enhanced endurance, increased energy levels, and increased muscle pump.

Nitric oxide supplements, also known as l-arginine supplements, have shown a lot of promise for improving workouts.

Stress Busters

By Davida Sara

These days Life is incredibly full. No break from the fast-paced days. Most people find that their adrenals are stressed; their emotions, wound up; their head, full of chatter. There are so many choices to de-stress: both allopathic and alternative possibilities. I generally choose Herbs because there are safe without side effects. A wonderful herbal formula for Stress:

Reishi; Oats; Linden; Baikal Skullcap; Holy Basil; Schisandra

I like to use my herbs in the form of tinctures which have been extracted using both water and alcohol. Tinctures are easy to mix; and to change the mixture. They also last a long time.

Reishi, Ganoderma lucidum, is a mushroom that the Chinese often refer to as the Emperor's Choice because it is effective for over 95% of the systems of the body. Reishi should be a big part of the formula. Even taken alone it is so comprehensive that it can relieve stress by itself. Reishi is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidant, anti-tumor, anti-viral, works on blood pressure, blood sugar, cardiovascular, cholesterol reducer, immune system, kidney tonic, lungs/respiratory, nerve tonic, sexual potentiator, stress reducer (Check out The Chart of Mushrooms' Therapeutic Effects which can be found at my website listed below). Reishi is so amazing that it is said to stop anaphylactic shock; therefore, a must for people who are allergic to bee stings or suffer from huge reactions to any insect bites. A small amount of the extract can be put directly on the bite; and dropper(s) full taken internally until swelling goes down.

Oats are best taken as Organic Wild Oats Milky Seed (Avena sativa). It is important to get organic tincture because the seed is the part of the plant in which most of the poison from pesticides resides. You cannot overdose on Oats. They are so good for the nervous system. Another good way to get your Oats is through oatmeal: Or, even better, through whole grain oats. Since whole grain oats take a long time to cook, cooking overnight in a crock pot can be very helpful. What a delicious way to start the day.

Linden, flowers and leaves (Tilia europaea) are good for the heart and will lighten things up. You cannot go wrong with reading under a Linden tree.

Skullcap from China, Baikal Skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis), its root soothes the nerves, is good for the heart, and breathing. It combines well with other herbs for increased immunity. It is an anti-inflammatory.

Holy Basil (Tulsi) (Ocimum tenuiflorum) leaf is gently uplifting and calming. If you plant it in front of your front steps, it will waft a beautiful scent as you enter your home. It may be extraordinarily paired with Baikal Skullcap. If you have trouble sleeping, please do not take Holy Basil after 3:30 PM.

Schisandra, ripe berries, (Schisandra chinensis (Wu Wei Zi)) is an adaptogen which means it balances the body by moving the energy up or down according to its need. It works on the liver helping it to do its work.

So here we have a formula of six herbs. These herbs work well in combination with each other. They enhance each other. The combination affects most of the body, with extra specifics for the heart, the nerves, the liver, and the immune system. It is so comprehensive that it de-stresses the body and your emotions. It makes more room for enjoying life.

Nitric Oxide Supplements, Produced By Neogenis, Possible Benefits and Risks.

By Esme Spence

So you've been hearing about nitric oxide, produced by companies like Neogenis, for the last little while. It's the new buzz word in health and fitness. It may seem from the all things that you hear about it that it is the miracle cure to anything that ails you. Suffering from cardiovascular disease? A nitric oxide booster will help with that. Have erectile dysfunction? Take some nitric oxide. Having any trouble with memory loss? The solution is increased nitric oxide. Okay, really, it isn't the answer to everything that might go wrong with your body, but research does seem to support some pretty impressive claims when it comes to nitric oxide.

Recently, the benefits of nitric oxide have been widely publicized and scrutinized. Here is what we come away with: nitric oxide could produce many desirable results within the body and could also help alleviate some common health problems. Let's start by taking a further look at what nitric oxide can do for the body. Then, let's consider the benefits a nitric oxide booster to increase levels of nitric oxide within the body. And finally what are the pitfalls to increasing nitric oxide levels by utilizing supplements?

In order to understand nitric oxide supplements, such as those offered by Neogenis, better, you have to have a basic understanding of what nitric oxide is and what it does. Nitric oxide is a gas, naturally produced by the body. This molecule is made up of a nitrogen and an oxygen atom. But something happens as we age and the body produces less and less nitric oxide and, in turn, our body ages. Nitric oxide production and distribution is regulated by the thalamus and distributed to the body through the circulatory system. When we get older and produce less nitric oxide naturally, taking a supplemental form of nitric oxide can return nitric oxide levels to "normal" and help our bodies to stay young and healthy.

Okay, so we need nitric oxide. What are the benefits to taking a supplement, such as those offered by Neogenis? Research has shown that nitric oxide is a powerful vasodialator, meaning that it causes the blood vessels to relax. This has a host of benefits because it improves circulation. Benefits include: increased brain function, improved attention, greater oxygen transfer, and more energy. Other benefits to getting nitric oxide levels in the optimal range include heart health issues (such as hypertension), circulatory problems, regulating blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, and a range of other health problems.

So why isn't everyone taking nitric oxide supplements of some sort? Well, the most obvious answer is, of course, cost. Looking at the Neogenis website, you would find that nitric oxide supplements can be costly. For 30 lozenges, the cost is $59.95. That's about $2 per lozenge. If you consider that the recommended dosing for an adult is two lozenges per day, daily cost is approximately $4 per day for the supplements. And while hat may seem like a lot of money, it really is all perspective. Consider replacing cost for cost by drinking water instead of soda or omitting your morning coffee. Then the cost becomes more manageable (not to mention the added health benefits for water consumption!) Cost may also be offset by discontinued use of some prescription medications that may be solved by taking nitric oxide supplements.

A nitric oxide booster, such as those manufactured by Neogenis, is worth taking note and talking to your physician.

Why Get An Under Sink Water Filter System?

By Roxy Albright

An under sink water filter can offer many benefits for your health and prevent various potential issues. A home filtration system such as an under sink water filter may allow you to protect your drinking water from many harmful contaminants. Those seeking to live a healthy lifestyle often seek out water filtration systems and products such as Shilajit powder. There are multiple dangers that can come with tap water which people are concerned about. We'll discuss in this article some of the ways that a water filter can help your drinking water to be safe and healthy as well as some reasons that people might not choose to install them.

To begin, we will discuss the types of contaminants that can be filtered out. Next, we will look into the health benefits a good water filter system could offer to you. To conclude, we will talk about various reasons some still decide not to use an under sink water filter or other such systems.

Municipal water treatment isn't always enough to protect you from an outbreak of bacterial or other contaminants in drinking water. Natural disasters or various industrial accidents can seriously compromise otherwise dependable tap water sources. There are over 2100 known potential contaminants that can be in tap water; some of which are poisonous. Tap water contaminants can include mercury, arsenic, lead, bacteria, chlorine, and others. You could even end up with household chemicals and drugs in your drinking water.

Contaminants that an under sink water filter may remove can cause gastro-intestinal illness, heart disease, and cancer. It is suggested that some kinds of cancer have been tied to toxic contaminants in drinking water. Clean, purified drinking water is important for the proper mental and physical progress of children's growth. In the U.S., the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that lead found in tap water contributes to nearly 480,000 cases of learning disorders in children each year. Healthy water can ease fatigue to the liver, heart, and kidneys. It may also prevent early aging. Some view a water filter as redundant. But even as supplements like Shilajit powder can seem a bit excessive, filtered water can offer benefits that you can't get without it.

Many people still find reasons not to use an under sink water filter or other filters. Filtration systems can be expensive to buy and install. Others dislike the idea of having to pay for and change water filters. Boiling drinking water or drinking from water bottles may be passable solutions for some people as well. There are pros and cons to any approach to drinking water, but you should ensure you do something to protect your drinking water.

Whether you use products for overall wellness such as Shilajit powder or not, you will probably see the need at some point to replace regular tap water with pure filtered water through a system such as an under sink water filter.

Your Back Will Thank You For Reading This Article

By Lyle Tiscareno

Back pains and injuries are quite common issues. These back injuries can happen whether you sit working at a desk everyday or whether you lift heavy objects. Keep reading for a selection of tips and advice on preventing and treating back discomfort.

Avoid repetitive stress injuries, regardless of your stance or position. When you are doing any things over and over again, try to mix it up. Change your position and move around occasionally.

Sit properly. Bad posture will put strain on your spine and back. If your job requires you to sit for extended periods of time, make sure the chair you are using offers the proper back support that you need. Try sitting on an exercise ball in order to improve your strength in your back and your posture.

Back discomfort sufferers should have a comfortable office chair. Sitting is a compression activity, placing strain on the discs in your back. Any chair you must spend a great deal of time sitting in should be comfortable and excellent support for your back. The key point is to ensure that the chair provides enough support so there is no increased strain on your back, especially the lumbar area. Arm rests can also help you to sit correctly.

supportive mattress. Mattresses are expensive, but thankfully many manufactures encourage trying out the mattress for a month or more, as long as it is amply protected.

To assess the severity of an injured back and prevent further straining or tearing, give yourself a couple days of rest after the pain begins. If resting helps the pain to subside, the injury was probably minor. On the other hand, if the pain remains the same or increases, you will need to contact a doctor or chiropractor to determine the cause. Taking it easy for more than a couple of days will not solve your problem, and it may end up exacerbating it by permitting additional muscle atrophy to occur.

Stay away from movements and elements that trigger back pains or back spasms for you. Some of the things that cause back spasms are lack of sodium, lack of sleep, anxiety, dehydration, caffeine and stress. If a back spasm is triggered, apply a heat pack as soon as possible to relax and rest all of your back muscles and prevent any pain from getting worse.

Always pay attention to your posture. Straighten your back, keep your elbows parallel to your body when using the computer, and make sure one foot is slightly in front of the other. Avoid looking downwards at your computer screen or craning your neck for a better view.Going for walks is a good way to alleviate chronic back discomfort. This motion is very good for the back.

Do you have back pain? Take care not to twist excessively during daily activities. Whether you are hauling heavy objects or tidying up the house, you are at risk of twisting your back, which may cause horrible pain and injury. When participating in sports, take a rest if there is pain or tightness in your back.

Wearing the correct shoes can help prevent you from placing undue stress on your back. Wearing shoes that don't provide support or that are worn out, can lead to stress in your feet, legs and eventually to your back. If you must wear them, you should purchase some insoles and only wear them for short periods of time.

Proper breathing and relaxation can be very effective in the treatment of chronic back discomfort. Learn a few breathing techniques that you can use when you feel back pain coming on. You may find that you suffer less, and feel better.

Back discomfort is a serious problem that one can't simply ignore. If you do not treat your back pain properly, you will have a long-term disability and it can alter the way you live. Back discomfort is especially hard to recover from, so try to avoid it if you can. If you do experience it, it is vital to know how to treat it. This article should have enlightened you to ways on how to avoid and treat your back pain.
