Arranging A Gathering With Different Pool Party Games For Kids And Some Friends

By Tiffany Gill

There are few things that beat the summer heat like having your own pool full of cool bright blue water in the back yard under your favorite shade tree. Many children go to great lengths making friends so they can invite them over to swim in it. Often the most difficult thing is finding pool party games for kids to play that will keep them interested and involved while having fun.

When organizing one of these events, you are not required to invest a lot of capital or in several cases massive amounts of your time. What is vital is that it seems well thought out with various activities that involve every child so no one feels left out. Following this program will help ensure more play dates for your kids and a place for you as a successful parent with happy children.

One of the critical things for any good party is choosing a theme. This is the idea or thought you incorporate into it. It might be as easy as a tropic theme with different flowers or very complex like a superhero theme that everyone dresses up like superheroes. Let your kids brainstorm and come up with some ideas that please them. The general idea is to let youngsters use their imaginations in a positive way.

Decorations are generally a must for most successful get togethers. They are what makes the mood and for most children they can often help build up the excitement for the special day. They should hopefully be inexpensive, simple and easy to clean up. A few inexpensive streamers, inflatable yard effects and some leis for your guests when they arrive.

Games are typically the best part of the party experience. Parents and their children can easily construct some homemade paper chains which help cut off various areas. You could have areas for different games, around your pool, the eating area or a kids only or parents only area. Always be sure to set firm ground rules that should be followed so everybody has fun.

There are many good games to try using. Find a coin is where you throw a coin or similar small object in the water to see who will bring it up the quickest. Balloon tossing is where kids toss a filled up water balloon back and forth using only a folded towel held tightly between two people.

Another great game is hose limbo. This is where two people hold a hose while someone passes under it. Whoever goes the lowest wins. A good group game is marco polo. A chosen player swims around saying marco with their eyes closed. The other children say polo. When one is touched they become the new it person.

Always wait around 30 min after drinking or eating before returning to the water. Try getting a pinata to use at the end of the evening. Most children love that stuff. Remember to plan for supervision everywhere. Pool party games for kids usually are great fun, positive supervision will help make sure they stay that way.
