You can probably still remember as a child the parental adage that would go something like this 'You better eat your vegetables or you won't grow up strong'.

Needles to say, although veggies are a great benefit to ones health, it actually doesn't always taste as good as those of fruits. In this regard, it will depend of course upon the persons' taste buds.

Most of us know that vegetables are good for you. Equipped with vitamins and minerals, vegetables are a must eat and should always be added in our daily meal. They also vary in texture and color.

Today, there are about enumerable ways on how we can obtain these essential nutrients and vitamins however, taking it from all-natural sources is still best and most efficient way of ingesting these requirements in our body. With this in mind, it is important to train your kids to eat vegetables. Question is, how do you get kids to eat vegetables?

One good idea, is to feed them the vegetables that taste good, and find ways to modify the vegetables they don't seem to like. You can try putting sugar on your meal or add squash. You might saute carrots in butter and other flavors such as garlic and, which modifies the taste and makes them more palatable. Such vegetables as cauliflower and broccoli taste much better when seasoned and covered with various sauces. That mask the taste that you get when you either boil or heat interactive vegetables in some other way..

A lot of vegetables however taste better when they are left as they are and not cooked. There's probably a reason how these vegetables taste how they are. You can actually eat off the vegetable right off from its vine just like the tomato for example. In addition, you can also nibble on carrots right after picking from the garden since they are sweet and actually taste really great. This is not the case with most tuber type vegetables like rutabagas and turnips.

On the other hand, these too can be sauted and made more tasty just like potatoes and squash.

If you're going to cook vegetables, it's better to saute them rather than boil them. If you choose to saute your vegetable, you'll have a better taste and the essential vitamins and minerals will retain. You can also have a better taste if you prepare your vegetables Al Dente style or half cooked.

No matter how you put it, vegetables are still the best source of essential proteins, vitamins and minerals that the body. Having to feed your kids with vegetables are actually not that difficult at all if you know how to improvise the taste and cook it that way your kids would love. This way, you know your children are getting their essential vitamins and minerals in a form that nature provides for maximum digestion.
